Easy Creamy Tomato Soup
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons of quick melt butter
¼ cup chopped white onion (leave some sliced white onion for garnishing
the soup)
¼ cup chopped celery
3 tablespoon all purpose flour
3 cups of milk
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground pepper
2 pieces tomatoes (diced)
Chopped Basil Leaves
Instructions for cooking the creamy tomato soup:
Before cooking, prepare first the things that will be used in cooking
such as cooking utensils and ingredients for a more convenient cooking
experience.

Heat butter in a saucepan with low heat. Olive oil can be used before
placing the butter in the saucepan as a lubricant for cooking onions.
When the butter has heated up enough, place the onions and celery and
stir until tender. Always keep the flame low in order to avoid frying
the onions and the celery. Some cooking experts would cook the onions
last since onions are very sensitive to heat.
Mix and stir the flour into the vegetable mixture. Stir well until
incorporated until it boils up then add basil leaves and leave for
fifteen minutes then remove and disregard.
Stir in the milk and then add sugar, and pepper. Salt is used as a
flavoring in which must be added in the saucepan in small portions in
order to avoid making the soup salty.
Continue stirring for at least thirty minutes until the mixture starts
to boil up. Increasing the heat of the burner can be done at this point
however it is important to ensure that the mixture thickens before
reducing the heat of the burner into low flame.

Dice the tomatoes and make sure to remove the seeds of the tomatoes. The
use of a blender is required to puree the tomatoes and use a strainer to
drain the remaining residue.
Heat the tomatoes in a separate saucepan then combine it to the first
mixture. Stir it constantly in low flame until the mixture begins to
thicken and boil.
Tomato soup appetizers are best served while hot and can be garnished
with sliced onions or onion leaves depending on the creativity and
preference of the cook. |
